  • GreenIsland Bakery 1625 Eckington Place Northeast, Ste 140 Washington, DC, 20002 United States (map)

A workshop for clinicians, dieticians and mental health advocates to enjoy a multisensory mental health experience through baking.

Dive into a unique baking experience, while connecting with other providers, and see how GreenIsland Bakery's mental health workshops support individuals recovering from various traumas.

Recently featured on the Kelly Clarkson Show, GreenIsland Bakery uses positive psychology coaching and baking skills training to help women navigate recent traumatic experiences such as domestic violence, human trafficking, eating disorders and more. In this workshop, GreenIsland will guide participants through a baking experience while sharing about their social enterprise and work with trauma survivors. Not only will you learn about client stories but you too will experience the multisensory and mindfulness benefits of baking. Attendees will walk away with their own freshly baked Irish treats and a complimentary shortbread package from GreenIsland.

This event is offered in partnership with local mental health nonprofits, Project Blackbird and Rock Recovery. Dinner is generously sponsored by Troy's Italian Kitchen. Refreshments will be provided.

Registration is $15 per participant.
